Grief is messy. It’s a multitasking emotion that we don’t ever move on from. Instead, we have to learn to move forward with it. This is especially true for children because children’s grief is often overlooked.
This Children’s Grief Workshop is designed to help teachers and early childhood professionals understand children’s grief; specifically, what children’s grief looks like, how children’s development is impacted, myths and misconceptions about children’s grief, and the role of the parent and educator in supporting children through the grieving process.
This workshop is very practical and hands-on. Participants will engage in many play-based activities that can be incorporated in the classroom and other early learning and care settings. This includes art, storytelling, mindfulness, mediation, and yoga.
All digital materials will be provided before the class for participants to print at home.
