As children get older, and social interaction gets more complex, it’s important that they learn to set personal boundaries and respect those of others. Teaching young children about body boundaries, both theirs and others, is crucial their sense of self, their confidence and how they allow themselves to be treated by others.

This is a new workshop that teaches children about personal boundaries- how to develop their own and respect other’s. Through games and art, the goal of the workshop is to:

• Teach them about body and emotional boundaries and why they are important
• Learn how to set appropriate boundaries for themselves
• Respect the bodies and feeling of others
• Identify safe and unsafe feelings they may have due to the actions and words of others and create strategies for managing these feelings and relationships
