Virtual Yoga and Meditation

This virtual yoga class will begin with a story called, “When You Are Brave?” The story teaches children that it’s normal to be scared and worried. Sometimes we can’t control what happens around us, but we can control our actions and how we respond. Your children will also have an opportunity to participate in a play-based activity where they will reflect on what they can control and what they can’t and how they can find their inner bravery. This activity will provide children with the tools to self-regulate and express emotions. I will teach them a few simple yoga positions and breathing techniques that they can use during worrying times. We will end the workshop with a meditation.
What they will need access to:
Blanket and pillow if they’d like to use it for the meditation
Paper and crayons/markers
