Guided Paint Class for Kids
January 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
$65
Van Gogh painted the iconic, “A Starry Night” at a time when he was instituted to get help for his depression. This image is what he could see through his window. He explained it as not only a dark night, but a dark point in his life and realizing the stars were there to light the way for him. The painting was a way to depict hope, a message that darkness never really fully takes over, and the sun or the light in life always leaves a little piece of itself when it goes away. When there is a sunset it means a sunrise is sure to come next.
On January 18th from 6:00-7:30 Dr Elena Merenda and Nadia from Art and Soul are hosting A Starry Night Guided Paint Class for kids. We are going to talk about the importance of hope, of looking through the darkness and finding the light, and knowing brighter days will always be there. The children will be painting their own version of the world famous Van Gogh painting as a constant reminder of hope and light in their life.
