Grief is messy. It’s a multitasking emotion that we don’t ever move on from. Instead, we have to learn to move forward with it. This is especially true for children because children’s grief is often overlooked.
This two day workshop is designed to help parents and educators understand children’s grief; specifically, what children’s grief looks like, how children’s development is impacted, myths and misconceptions about children’s grief, and the role of the parent and educator in supporting children through the grieving process.
This workshop is very practical and hands-on. Participants will engage in many play-based activities that can be incorporated at home and in the classroom. This includes art, storytelling, mindfulness, mediation, and yoga. All materials will be provided.
All participants will be required to complete a COVID-Waiver on the day of the event.
