Diagnostic Inventory for Screening Children (DISC)
The DISC is an early childhood screening tool designed for early screening of developmental delays in children from birth to five years who have been identified as at-risk for developmental delays.. The DISC targets 8 developmental areas:
- Fine Motor Skills
- Gross Motor Skills
- Receptive Language
- Expressive Language
- Auditory Attention and Memory
- Visual Attention and Memory
- Self Help Skills
- Social Skills
The DISC can be used to discern specific developmental delays requiring further developmental assessments and to design early childhood intervention programs for children.
